Default Bayou 220 lube/filter questions

Hey guys,

The Clymer should have been here by now - PIA.

Anyway, I am rounding up the usual parts and I see a thread that refers to relacing the oil plug when you change oil or it will leak. Is this the main plug you remove to drain the oil or is there a secondary one? What oil do you like in the Kaw's?

Second, the diff - what lube/weight/amount do you recommend?

Finally, he gave me a new UNI filter, which I have not used before. Should this be doused in oil like OEM's?

It's my first Kawasaki so I am just geting up to speed here.

Sorry to be impatiant while waiting for the manual but I want to get out there- it's 50 degrees and the sun is finally been out.

Thanks

Trailblazer,

Thanks for the reply - have you had to do any work on your diff?

Traverse City is my hometown. I hadn't been there in years, but I made a quick drive through last summer. Some towns don't change much but TC sure has!!

Jeff,

I moved to Grand Rapids '89 and then came out to Upstate NY in '96. Hadn't been back until last summer.

I have family in the UP, and that's where I will retire. In NY everything is closed to riding unless it's posted open. I miss the UP where I can ride wherever I want - including into town.

Thanks for the reply - got to get this scooter rolling!
