94 bayou 400 no spark

Default 94 bayou 400 no spark

been acting up some last couple weeks.riding,running fine then it dies no spark at plug.after 10 minutes it starts runs maybe for couple hours then same thing.ALSO. sometimes it runs great then it will start running real bad ,will not run at full throttle,just will not get full rpms.

Check the ohms on the cdi and starter solind whatever. If there fine coil maybe be getting to hot for couple reason. Check plug see if she leaning out. Most the time stator goes bad then coil then cdi.

Any. Am betting coil going bad when she warms up. Am betting coil or fouling out letting gas in the motor she cutting off. Check the oil make sure your not mixing gas in there.

I checked coil with ohm meter.checked out to be bad.ill try this first.where is the best ( cheapest)place to buy cdi unit.

From a dealer or ebay. Buy a new cdi they cost out the A! But you hardly ever half to replace them. I would replace coil put a new plug in and hope for the best. No spark is a bad plug foul u won't even know it. Just changed bayou klf plug and bam it fired up. With it warming up and shutting down I say coil. I have a 300 love to play on a 400.

I just bought this Bayou in march for $250.00. I have spent about $400 on so far.It was running great until this problem.

Coil then f for 250 I would be in heaven. I paid 700 for the 300klf. Then spent 1000 in rims/tire. Winch and rearseat. New carb and lift. I would like a 400 need the pdf on the 400 I have it somewhere on megafile download good luck!

well coil did not help....CDI next I guess but it will have to wait a while...if I had insurance on it I would just burn the piece of junk............
