Default 2000 Mule 2510 4x4 no fuel to float bowl

Mule sat for a long time before I got it. Would not idle, tank was full of rust as was fuel filter and float bowl. Cleaned and lined tank, installed new lines and filter. Cleaned carb and replaced pilot screw, float valve and pilot jet. Blew carb cleaner thru all passages.
Now I'm not getting fuel past the float valve into the bowl. I disconnected the line and fuel pump is delivering fuel to the carb. New float valve and old spring clip seems to provide more resistance to float movement than old assembly.
Any insights or suggestions before I take the carb off again?

Is float value an oem? did you check fuel level?
