Bayou 220 won’t idle without choke on
Hello I’m new here and kinda a noob with atv’s, over the weekend I bought a 2001 bayou 220 for $600 perfect shape and everything guy started it up first pull and I took it down the block went through all the gears and everything was fine. Guy said the carb probably needs to be cleaned so I took it home and realized it would only start with the choke on after it warmed up I could get the choke down to half. Anyways I ended up taking the carb out took it apart and cleaned all the jets and it was pretty bad after I put it in same problem but now it’s running worse then before so I said whatever I’ll just buy a new carb 30 bucks and saved me time.. well just installed the new carb tonight did the air/fuel screw 1 1/2 turns and the idle screw about 2 turns still doing the same thing! I got so frustrated I had to take a break for the night. Any ideas of what it could be? I don’t think it’s compression because I got it to idle for probably 30 minuets with the choke at half. Could it be bad gas? That’s the only thing I can think of right now. I’ve already read about all the other threads about this issue and it’s usually because the carb is dirty but mine is brand new! Anyways all the help I can get is appreciated, thanks.

UPDATE:
Got off work today and came home eager to figure out what could possibly be wrong and I think I have found the problem the plastic manifold between the carburetor and engine was completely broken in half! Can’t tell for sure if this is the problem completely until the new part comes. But I hope this helps anyone with the same issue!
