My husband had the same problem as you are. Gas and spark. And would crank but nothing... There is a keyway on the shaft. It probably sheered it off. We had the same issue. Changed the keyway and fired right up. Now for some reason it kept sheering the keyway so we bought valve grinding compound and put some of that on it. And replaced the keyway again and runs great.
