My buddy and I are arguing about how to pronounce Tecate. If it's like the beer, it would be tuh-kah-tee. He says TEE-kate. Who's right?
sorry to burst your bubble but it is pronounced: Tee Kate.
I always thought it was pronounced TEH KATE. It sounds better than TEE KATE.
What does a Yamaha guy know about Kawi's anyway?
It's pronounced Teh CAH Tee, like Tecate, Mexico, Tecate the beer, etc. |
Brianc is right.
I thought so. It is a Spanish or Indian word like Mojave. Which sounds like mo ha ve, or does YamahaGye say it like MO jayv?
Yeah, BrianC is right. Teh Kah Tee
This is dumb though. Bombardier is really supposed to be pronounced Bomb Bahr Dee Ay. That is messed up, but it really is correct. I think I'll just say it how its spelled. Otherwise, I run the risk of getting my ass kicked by some redneck that thinks I'm a communist or something.
i always pronounced it TEH KHA TEE
but i used to call MO HA VEE MO JAV (with the J) |
In Mexico, the beer and the town are pronounced teh- kah- tay. ( I used to live in L.A. CA. and was corrected during a trip south of the border by the locals.
Bombadier is a military term like cavalier, grenadier and fusealier(sp). |
