Happy to have a Kawi 650. Very sad to have a dealer like the one I have in Willmar. You mentioned on a previous post that your dealer was adept at repairs/adjustments. Would this be the dealer in Delano?

My 650 runs way too rich (plugs fouling and strong gassy smell), Slips out of gear and clunks alot (an adjustment you said was fast and easy, and the drive belt tension is too loose ( I measured close to 1.5 in of deflection).

After buying TWO new ATV's from this dealer this year he has no interest in even trying to remedy my problems. Burns me up for him to tell me they wont even look at it because " we cannot do that because if we can't find anything wrong the warranty won't cover our time spent"

Sounds like an excuse for an incompetent mechanic! Or a greedy dealer!!

Please advise. Thank you!!Text

Kawi will cover the belt deflection adjustment if you don't want to do it yourself.

Sounds to me like your choke cable is shot ...with the strong gas smell and fouling plugs why I say this is mine done the same thing because the cable was routed poorly and when I turned the wheels left or right it pulled the cable apart which caused my machine to flood the gas actually backed up in the choke cable casing and i could see it drip out of the cable right in front of the front head. check see if you have any free play in your choke cable should be atleast 1/2 inch free play before it starts to choke.Anyway Dealer installed a new cable fixed the problem. I could not ask for a better machine
