Me and a friend of mine were thinking crazy and decided to try and plan a trip in a few years to drive across the U.S. and hit as many riding areas we could in a year. It almost sounds impossiable but I think it can be done. We figured we would work for about 3 years and have to put away anywhere from 500 to 700 dollors a month each. Then quit are jobs and leave for a year. We have sat down and sorta figured out what it will cost.

Now we really want to do this so I was wondering if anyone can tell me some of the top riding areas in the U.S. I also wanted to know where some good MX tracks are and also everywhere you can think of that has dunes. Also anything that has to do with quads that we might see on are trip.

We live in California so we will leave in the summer and hed north, then east across the U.S. and then south for the winter. It's gonna be hard but it will be well worth it because we are still young and able to do something like this. Also let me know what you think about something like this do I sound crazy?

Hey what kind of $hit is that DaveC. I'm serious about this, I guess your dumba$$ just donsn't like to experince things. This trip can be done and if something didn't work out I can turn around and go back home. People go across the U.S. on Vacation all the time on the road, the only difference is I will be taking my quads.

So why can't you help out and let me know of some of the areas to ride at in Texas.

Hossman, be sure that when you come up through Oregon that you hit hwy 101 and visit all dune areas. Maybe head east first and then save Oregon for the end of your trip. That way you save the best for last! (=

Hossman, I am very envious of your trip and dont let anyone talk you out of it. You will tell your children tall tales of the adventure that awaits. Take your time and drive as much of the old route 66 as possible, stay in small towns and get to know America. We will be with you in spirit

Thanks, I knew I wasn't crazy. I think this trip is one of a kind, and I think it will be awsome. I mean who wouldn't want to go on a vacation to ride your quad at all sorts of riding areas. I was thinking the same thing about route 66, I have never been on route 66. This trip is going to take some long planning, but its worth it.

hey man this trip sounds awsome if you are coming up north check scatopia in ohio i am not exactly shure were it is bit it is a great place to crash for a week it is a group of people that have about 90 acres of land and they just party and have fun all year round they have alot of skating stuff and an old guy that just moved in with them and they dont even no his name all they do is have fun

I made the trip in 84, left from vagas went to concord NH, then back to LA, cal.
Me and a old army buddy did it, we rode street bikes and it took 42 days, you will not in your wildest dreams ever expect to find the poeple you meat and the things your going to do!!!
Stay to the small towns and forget about the cities, take as much of route 66 as you can.
Depending on when you leave take a northern route when it's warm and take the southern route when it's cool.
Even in june the northern route is cool. Being from cal you may want to leave on the southern route and return on the northern route.
You will never regret it and probably end up like me, I take off every june for three weeks, but always still talk on about that jont across country.

If you make it across to New England...I own several properties in Maine and the riding up there is endless. I'd be more than happy to have you guys stay and ride with us in God's Country.

I too, am truely ENVIOUS....I couldn't even take my '95 CBR 600F3 across a few states in New England nevermind the US. Wish I had before I sold it for my 650.

This reminds me of a pro basketball player who I met that travels around during the off season in his fancy motorhome pulling a trailer full of ATV's. The best part was that he had a Slurpie machine and after a long hard day of riding, he would dispense a few margaritas. Talk about envy!!!
