Does anyone know how much the four stroke tech cams go for?? Do you need to send in your stock cams to him and he does a regring or does he send you the cams but want yours as a core?? Thanks

mentalmojave,

I've talked with him many times about this and this is what he told me, and it aplied to the lakota but should be the same for the mo. except for the price, as you know the lakota only has one cam!!!

He quoted me a price of $150 and said he had cores in stock. I talked with him last week and mentioned the cam and he said it was in stock. Now does this mean he has some done or he will do one for me I don't know.

I also asked him about what you are asking and he had told me he would send me the cam and add I believe it was $65 to my credit card and when I sent him my core he would credit my card back for the core.

I've talked to web cam once before while purchasing my sons cam and they had told me I had to send them my cam and they would grind that one. As you also know the mojave has been around for many years so maybe web has some cores or has some in stock, once again I don't know.

Hope this helped some!!

The cams that FST uses aren't made by them. They're megacycle cams made by Megacycle. They're the same type of cams that that use in Jasper racing engines. Powroll uses the same cams too.

I felt they were done by some one else, but I knew they were not web cams.

I know the lift and durations of FST and Powroll cams are a lil on the mild side. Were is if you check out web cams they offer more agressive cams.

A good piece of advice I can give you is you won't like the very agressive cams, the ones FST and powroll offer are much better. They compliment the power and delivery of certain machines. Were is a agressive cam turns the machine into some thing it realy isn't.

Also keep in mind how you do the set up. Trying to keep a good valocity threw your carb is what you want. Getting good valocity at high rpms doesn't take rocket science, but getting it in the low & mid ranges can be tricky when porting and/or adding cams.

I don't know. Try a search on yahoo or something. Wost comes to worst call up FST or Powroll and ask for their number. It's true thought the Megacycle cam really complements the low end and mid range of an engine. You can go higher if you want. Most people that ride 4 strokes will short shift and take advantage of the torque. That's why the cams are how they are.

Gaff - I have the number for megacycle cams. 1-415-472-3195. I spoke to them today and they have 3 choices for the mo. They have a mild, overall and a full race. It is 155.00 for the regrind and 265 for the billet. I'm sure its cheaper for the lakota though. She's mailing me the cam specs. Just thought I'd let you know.
