FINALLY, Mud and Gator Pics

Thanks Dextreme,
I am on a farmer's land that I duck hunt and deer bowhunt on. A lot of land is like this in Eastern, ND/Western, MN. He also has a pheasant preserve close to where we were 4 wheeling. His sloughs get up to 10 feet deep so we have to be careful when going through there. But its fun.

That is the main reason why I bought the 4 wheeler. For hunting. ATV's are useful for hauling decoys into the sloughs, swamps, bogs, or whatever you want to call them. It allows us to get way back in where other hunters do not go.
We do the same for goose hunting. We actually drive our trucks with trailer out into a field at 5 am, set up the decoys, and drive the truck out of the field. The ATV is used then to get back out into the field so we don't have to walk so much.
For deer hunting its awesome. The sloughs freeze over by December so getting to great slough bowhunting spots is fun. Just in general using the ATV to get to the tree stands in tree rows or wooded areas beats walking, especially when the snow gets deep. In western, ND, we have severe badlands. We do a lot of spot and stalk and drive hunting. The ATV's are great for picking others up, getting to spots to sit point, or to retrieve deer. Much of the land is not suitable to drive a truck back 2 miles to retrieve a deer. That is where the ATV comes into play.
A few years back, we had a mule deer buck that dropped into a steep ravine. Luckily, we had an ATV with a winch to get him out. Otherwise it would have been at least a 4 hour job to get the deer from the ravine to the truck.
I am lucky in the sense that I have a Jeep Cherokee 4X4 for a company car. I travel to western, ND a lot for work and haul my ATV with me. It stays light until past 10 pm out there so I can do some serious country riding after working hours. I also have family with a lot of land. I stay with them in the summer and fall use my ATV for riding and hunting. I am very happy and grateful to have an ATV. Its really let's me spend time with myself enjoying the great outdoors. Its also great to meet with family and friends with ATV's as we all have a wonderful bonding experience.
