Its been a while since I researched tires so I am not sure about the weights anymore. Compared to Dirt Devils, 589's, Mudrunners, etc. the Gators are lighter. Only the mudbugs are lighter for the all-purpose/mud tire.

I ride a Kawi 650 and the difference was minimal. The Gators handle way better than stock tires and I have a lot more fun in mud. With stock tires, casual mud could be a serious problem for me. Now casual mud is a cakewalk. Yet, the Gators run well on hardpack.

What type of ATV do you have. If you have a 400cc ATV then a 25"-26" Gator may be for you. With a big bore you could easily go 27".

Good luck.

I have a prairie 650 with dynojet kit, and exhaust mod. I will go with the Gators...do you know the best price so far (26x10-12,26x12-12)?

East KY. Their web site is 4atvtires.com. I got a set of four 27's delievered to my door for $299. I can only imagine that it would be a little cheaper for 26's.
