650 Snowplow
#11
I have an Cycle Country VEE plow blade but only used it 1 time last winter. I seems like it would workout great with alot of snow. Since it has alot of adjustments you can really move the snow where you need it . The plow in easy to remove it uses to pins.
Hopefully it will snow here in 2 days. So I can play LOL No I mean make few extra $$ removing snow
Anyone have an insurance company that offer coverage in NJ .Ny company just raised my insurance $400.00 because they dont want to write ATV any more
Thanks GB

OK, I have decided on a straight plow, now trying to decide between the lite plow by cycle country or a standard metal plow. Differences in weight are about 45 lbs to 65-75 lbs. With the soft front springs on the 650, I am leaning toward the lighter plow. Is this a valid thought? Any idea that the heavier metal plows would push snow better or scrape better? Thanks for the insight.

Well, I finally just bit the bullet and bought a dang plow. Don't know if I made the right choice, but at least I made one. I ordered a 60" Moose County Plow and mounting set-up, so I ended up going with one of the biggest, heaviest plows made for ATV's. Moose seems to be well made, and from comments, seems to hold up well. I went down to a local ATV dealer. They had everything except the P650 mount, which will be here Thursday. Plow with standard rubber shield on top, push bars, mount and plow end for the small end of the plow, with tax, was about $450.00, which is 10% off of what Moose lists them for. I will use my winch to lift the thing. I just hope the weight is not too much for the front end. At least I should be able to push some snow! Of course, now that I bought the thing, we won't be getting much snow, but that's OK. $450.00 for no snow would be worth it!

hey 03prairielover
exactly how hard is it to lift a 60" cycle country plow with a manual lift? my wife bought me one for christmas and for now all i have is the manual lift. another thing, does the weight of the 60" really kill the front end of the 650?

I'm not sure how hard it is to lift the 60" plow manually, as I lift with a winch, which is really nice, but I don't think the County Plow I have really bothers the front end too bad. When you lift the thing off the ground, the front end does sag, but not too bad. By lifting up as far as my winch and the bracketry will let it, I have 5 to 6 inches of overall clearance, certainly enough. One thing the weight of the plow on the front does is make it easy to turn around. I plowed for the first time on Saturday. Was only about an inch, but I plowed it anyway. There was snow on the road after I got out of my driveway, and I was in 2 wheel drive. After pushing out onto the road, I lifted the plow, cranked the handlebars and gassed it, and the thing spun around like it had tracks. Kind of neat!
