i was wondering what the top speed was on a bayou250 because in the augest issue of 4wheelatvaction the magazine, they had all speed+power ratings 5-star (thats the highest you can get)

 

They go about 35 with out the racks

 

Hmm, theyl do well over 35 dude. i ride my causins 03 Bayou alot, (With the racks on) and it is faster than that.

 

I dont think that a 228 cc engine goes faster then 40

 

zrappa, bayou's do well over 35, even w/ racks on! we have a '94 bayou 220, and it does 50 w/ racks and me (200 lbs.) on! that is measured on a GPS, accurately, too, and that is on the very slightest of downhills.

 

I never GPS ran are's or anything like that. But deffinately between 40 45 or so. It is a good machine that realy does alot more than it should.

I know my daughter has waxxed a bayou 300 and a rancher on hers. But the 4 byes are slow any way.

zrappa ~ never underestimate the power of kawasaki!!!!! lol seriously, though, they go that speed 40-50 approximately.

 

i got a 98 kawasaki bayou 220 it will run around 45mph but itgets there really quick mine will outrun a bayou 250 on startoff but idk bout top speed
