I figure the 700 will easily be the best hill climber and maybe even drag racer ever , a good automatic will easily out climb a manual on large hill , you never have to worry about down shifting , I climb stuff on my 650 that only the best sport bike can climb. Good day to you.

The V-force will be an awesome hill climber , as far as drag racing , who cares , that is what is boring , it is a lot more fun riping a fast pace through a challenging trial. It will do great at the dunes as well.

66oDisturbed,
Unfortunately, not all of us live near good sand riding areas. I actually prefer to ride Dunes over Trail riding any day, but you take what you have and what I have is a ton of Trail riding areas. The closest Dunes (That you can ride on) to me is 2 1/2 hours away, and to be honest it is a very small area and the dunes are nothing to get excited about. With that said, my paddles are on there way, and we are heading for the Dunes next weekend. I will be sure and let you know how it does. All that aside, no one can deny that the 700 isn't taking the GNCC Race circuit by storm. 3 races, multiple victories in multiple classes. Not only is it dominating, but if you read the report, one of the riders closest competition was 1 full lap down, and the Female rider finished over 12 minutes ahead of the second place rider. In my book, that is Domination. |

The problem with drag racing is that rider skill is a very small portion of what's involved. If you have enough money, ANY quad can be made to beat another in a drag race, even with the most inexperienced of riders aboard. (Here is my shot at GregV). I live in Indiana and we are blessed (LOL) with many miles of rolling fields in which to drag race. Bike "A" and bike "B" race and are fairly close-fun is had by all as it's the riders skill that makes the difference between winning and losing. Bike "A" spends $1000 to go faster and Bike "B" gets his a$$ kicked time and time again-no fun. In cross country or motor cross, the tide shifts in favor of rider skill. Even if you have the fastest thing out there, you have a good chance of losing if you hit a tree because you can't steer good, or if you don't know how to take a woop section. No cheap shot at drag racers, because I fancy myself a decent one, but the fun is in using YOURSELF to win, not the bike.

I guess you guys don't have the kind of trails that we have around here. I always thought riding in the sand would get boring quickly. Around here we have woods with harescrambles, logging roads, creeks, jumps, mud, rocks, hillclimbs and bigger hillclimbs. We have so much scenery, that I just can't imagine riding around in only sand.
