IT'S OFFICIAL I CHOSE THE 650P
WELL GUYS I FINALLY DECIDED ON THE 650 PRAIRIE. I'LL HAVE IT IN A COUPLE DAYS
I WAS JUST WONDERING ON THE TIRES I SHOULD BUY. SHOULD I GO WITH THE ATRS, THE MUDLITES OR THE BEAR CLAWS. I'M LOOKING FOR A GOOD ALL ROUND TIRE. I HAVE A CHOICE OF $400 IN ACCESSORIES OR 2 YEARS EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM KAWASAKI. IS THE WARRANTY WORTH IT. I FINALLY SHOULD GET INSTALLED THE BLACK SPRING BEFORE I PICK UP THE MACHINE OR WAIT UNTIL A BEAK HER IN. |

You made the right choice.
Warranty? Risky without it. I didn't get one, haven't needed it yet. You pick. I think Bear claws are the best all around, toughest tire on your list. ATR's for best dry. Tires are a toughy to pick for someone else. Yup, get the black spring installed, and maybe even make sure the belt is at the low end of the adjustment spec (not just within it). |

Nice machine dude. I too recently got a 650. I put the Bearclaws on before I picked it up. Great tires. I put on 26 x 9's on the front and 26 x12's on the back. They work really good for all around everything. Hit the grass and the front is up. Hit the mud and it's a flingin'. Hit the trail and they are quiet smooth.
I took the warranty. It was worth 650$ (I was told) so that would be the better deal. I'm waiting for my 10 hr inspection before I do any clutching. I'm gonna try the Dalton kit. I've used a lot of his snowmobile stuff and it awesome. So I'm gonna give his quad stuff a try. Look into it. daltonindustries.com Enjoy the 650 It rocks. I LOVE mine. |

Good choice dude - you won't regret it.
I'd put the black spring on now. Dealers I've talked to were glad to install it as it saves your belt from premature wear. Although if you check out Nyroc's website it'll take you longer to make the tool than to change the spring yourself. I have Bear Claws now. I've had them less than a year and the backs are about worn out but the fronts are fine. WHATS UP WIT DAT! It couldn't be the back tires breakin loose all the time from all that torque could it? I also always run in 2WD unless going through heavy mud which I try my best to avoid. I love the Bear Claws and will probably order a new set of rears to balance out the wear. I may look into ATR's for summer riding though and keep the Bear Claws for the wet stuff. I run the stock size as we are always running like our hair is on fire and the stock size sidewalls don't roll over as much as the 26's. The deal with the warranty or accessories is a toughy. That warranty would be nice depending on what all it covers. Although, I've only had mine back to the dealer once for the initial belt adjustment. There's no value if you never use it. Just my thoughts. |

Good Choice...
Would recommend the spring now along with the tightening of the belt...mine come loose from the factory and didnt catch it in time...believe me when i say dont let that happen. I would not go with the extended warranty. Practically everyone that i know of that has it believes they wasted their money. They either will not cover the problem as they will determine it is a maintenance issue 99% of the time. If it is a manufacturers defect you will know it within the first 6 months if you ride enough. |

good choice, you will love this quad. i opted for the extended warranty and i recently installed mudlites and c-series rims. best thing i've done yet. next will be an aftermarket exhaust and the black spring. i have had zero problems after 300 miles. check my pics for a look at the mudlite/c-series combo. looks awesome.

Yep, IMO, those Bear Claws are a great tire for general purpose. You should be able to purchase a 3 YR. warranty (from KAW.) online for @$400. Enjoy your new ride!

I wouldn't pick the warranty. $400 is allot for the 2 year GTPP. There is a guy in Texas that sells the 4-year for $350. You can probably get the 2-year for about $300. He has sold to several of the guys on this forum.
Ask for Allen at THE MULE BARN 209 E MAIN ST MADISONVILLE, TX 77864 (936) 348-9190 Phone Get the spring and the tires. They are a must have. Everything after that is just icing on the cake. |
