Default Silicone the winch switch

Hi guys, I just hooked up my Warn2500 and used the grey dial switch mounted up on the front racks. Actually on top of the black plastic. I siliconed the heck around the base of the switch so no water gets in- just wondering if you did the same. Also, should I silicone the ternimals at the winch motor to get water off the contacts. If I do, can I hurt it. Just curious.

Michael

As long as you got all the terminals on tight, and put the silicone on afterwards, it will be fine, don't laugh, but I have had to help people who greased their battery terminals before putting the connectors on, and then scratch their heads while trying to figure why nothing works. Silicone is a great insulator, just don't get it in the way of the electricity !!!!
