Kfx.. What mods do you have and what is the process of taking off the oil injection system? BTW, I'm not quite understanding how you guys are modding the air box to fit the ru 0200 filter. I know about the plate inside the airbox and your doing what to it???

It's really easy to do. Pull the bolt out that holds the banjo fitting on
the case, and replace it with a regular metric bolt.

If it's important to you- pull the side cover off, remove the retaining bolt
that holds the driven gear and push it up inside the case. To make room for
it, remove the 2 outside bolts holding the inlet to the case, pull the cap
off and remove the round pump component- careful there's a little spring in
it. The advantage to going to all this trouble is there won't be any drag
from the pump on the motor- not that you'd be able to feel it anyway.

The stock system is actually quite stout, it's not like it's going to break
compared to some systems out there, plus it doesn't add any pressure to the
throttle. The disadvantages are: 1) It does inject quite a bit of oil.
This is not much of an issue if you're running a good oil like Motul 600.
2) It is only functional when the rear wheels are moving. Yes, it's run off
the output of the clutch, so if junior isn't moving, the engine's not
getting any oil. Teach your critter to not sit around and idle, or pin the
throttle when the quad won't move, and it'll be fine. There's usually a bit
of oil in the line between the pump and the cylinder; keeps everything ok
while it's warming up.

I started out with the basic quick mods. Airfilter, a little compression, FMF pipe and all of the restrictors out. I've tried most everything I found on the internet or at shops
After lots of money, time and tuning I now have 60cc top end, 205lbs compression, ILR ported cylinder, ILR/Power Pros pipe, ILR carb kit with K&N and new intake manifold and lightened clutch weights. Also have a 4"wider front end and Kart wheels and tires since we race flat track mostly or when we go to the dunes we use the new Skat Trak Exciters on the rear and smooth buffs on the front.
Best power for the money is the pipe and carb kits. The FMF pipe sucks if you have anything more than a stock motor but is a little help on a bone-stock quad. None of the spring kits have done us any good. Lightening the stock weights and using the stock springs has improved take-off and the 20 foot bog that most of these quads have.
It's not going to beat a mod LT80 but it gives the Italjets and the LEM's a good race.
FYI, ILR Performance also offers a small velocity stack that bolts onto the stock carb to allow you to use clamp-on filters. I tried it and it is a better gain than modifying the stock box but not as good as the bigger carb.

Can any of you guys advise if I would be Ok to remove the intake restrictor and run the standard carb setup (maybe remove the second jet - how do I find this?). Also read somewhere about cutting part of the inner exhaust pipe, anyone elaborate on this?
