I added a new page to my site called "Proof that 6x6s are the Future". Check it out! www.homestead.com/maxatvs .
MaxRules |
You just gave me the prove that 4x4s rule. You said so your self at your site.
Arctic Cat 500, It's a 4x4 and yes it rules |
Should I dare ask how the hell you came up with that?
|
At the bottom of the "Proof that 6x6s are the Future!" It says that "4x4s Ruled the 80s-90s"
Arctic Cat 500, Any other questions? |
Exactly he said that 4x4's ruled the 80's and 90's the 90's are not the future anymore
|
4x4s do rule right now as we all know, I'm not trying to pull the wool over your eyes. "The Future" is the 2000's. That is why I say "6x6s are the Future" and "Max will Rule again". History repeats itself...
|
The Max will rule again?Calculate the total sales of the Max compared to the total sales of quads, than, ask yourself, WHO RULES?---------LOL---LOL------LOL-----LOL Just- BILL
|
If you did your homework, you would know that the Dodge boys scraped that idea.
|
If history repeats itself, the Max 6x6 will die a fast death once again!
Roostking.. Just messin, dont get pissed! |
Were did you here that?
I think T-REX would be great for a Construction company or a cowboy but I don't think 4 wheelers would buy it because you can't put bigger tires. I wouldn't mind if they would make it though. Arctic Cat, The official ATV of Dodge |
The T-REX is a prototype but not a trashed project. I think it would be great for heavy utility use. Everything has it's use!
I heard that many of you were expecting me to show up at the New York ride over the weekend. Is this true? MaxRules |
The T-REX is a show vehicle. IT will never see production..
RoostKing |
Max 6x6,your showing up for the NY trail ride this wk end?Is it to late for me to get my tickets to go see you and the Mighty 6x6 Max?I bet there all sold out,SHUCKS----BILL
|
Bill - There was a ride in NY last weekend or the weekend before that. Someone that was there said there was lots of people expecting me to come. I just wanted to know if that was true and if so, why they were expecting me. As far as I know there is no ride this weekend.
|
Max6x6, more than likely the reason many people expected (or wanted) you to show is that whether you realize it or not you are achieving a kind of celebrity status on these forums. You are truly one of a kind.

Hey Max!
I though about you yesterday. I was plowing through muddy water, my King Quad nearly submerged for the 20th time, when the picture on your web page came to mind, only those four-wheelers had the sense to stay on land. As my exhaust bubbled under the water, one thought came to mind: "MAX6X6." There is still a water line over half-way up my Suzuki's seat, which isn't coming off! Please don't say, "Death to the King Quad!" again. At least not mine. It has been baptized - reborn. Good riding! .] [This message has been edited by kclayd (edited 11-10-1999).] |
kclayd - You seem to have misunderstood my statement. I am not talking directly about your Suzuki as "Kind Quad". I am basicly saying death to all quads and Max will rule again. Since I always stick to my guns, I must say:
Death to the King Quad! |
Hey Max,
Instead of responding to the many attacks on the MAX6X6, I want to hear about your outings. That is maybe the best part of ATVing - sharing your experiences. What did you do last time you 6 wheeled? What makes it fun? Clay May my recently baptized King Quad live forever! |
Great idea kclayd, in fact I was just about to post info about my 6-wheeling outing yesterday.
My uncle and I took a 4 hour expedition up the creek yesterday. The terrain and scenery was awesome. There was water both deep and shallow, mud, sand, rocks, and logs. Big cliffs made for some great sights. We parked the Max in the creek to take a break and climbed on top of one of the cliffs. I took an aerial picture of my Max from the top. We crossed under a small highway and Interstate 70. Farther down the creek we found a really old bridge that had been destroyed. We went up a hill out of the creek and found an abandoned road that was probably the highway about 40 years ago. I took several pics of the ride that will soon be posted on my site. Someday soon before winter we may go farther and camp over night. kclayd where do you live? Let's ride! MaxRules |
Thanks MAX6X6,
I live in North Carolina. I would love to ride with you sometime, but I would probably have to get a snorkel tube and a scuba outfit to keep up with you in my newly baptized King Quad. I enjoyed the message about your outing. I will check your web site to see the photos. Look forwards to hearing more. If you're interested, I have posted descriptions of some of the North Carolina trails under the Where to Ride topic. There are a lot of great riders here, and you would be more than welcome if you ever wanted to visit. Good riding! Clay [This message has been edited by kclayd (edited 11-01-1999).] |
Hi Max!
I have enjoyed your recent posts, including the one about jumping your MAX, plowing snow with a MAX, and going 30 mph in a MAX. Sounds like you are having a blast! I checked out your website and noticed your favorite riding areas were in Missouri. I also noticed that you ride in New York. It looked interesting, and like the ultimate mudders. Let us know what other States have AATV events. I don't care about the Maxorama, because they exclude their quad brothers. [This message has been edited by kclayd (edited 11-10-1999).] |
Max, you forgot a part of your story. After you parked your Max and went on top of the cliff, you turned around to take pictures of your Max only to see it floating away!
Moral of the story: Quads don't float, so at least they can't float away from you after you get off of them! |
If the creek water had the smallest possibility of rising that much in ten minutes I would not be riding in it. With a quad I wouldn't have that picture because to get to that cliff you have to float across deep water. Once again the Max goes where no quad has gone before.
MaxRules |
Well you never said the creek was not full of water!
|
Will the Max fit in the back of of pickup?
|
Yes the Max will fit in a truck. ATV Magazine said, "The Max II is not much bigger than a traditional four-wheeled ATV. Its 50-inch wheelbase and 56-inch width makes it trail-ridable in many areas."
|
yep Max6x6's may be here in the future, but so will 4 wheelers and therefore quads will keep ruling. if they want to make them the future, make a 6x6 that can go 60 mph, that can jump 10 foot in the air, and that can still float, then you will have the future, but as of now, the future of the Max looks pretty dim. Bye
Ranger |
These are a few of the reasons I think the Max is not the atv of the future:
1 The company started making the max in 1970's and only sold about 38,000 units since, that is less than the Honda 300's sold in the years they were produced. 2 The base price is over $6,000 bucks, thats a lot to pay for an atv without suspention 3 The water speed is SLOW, if you put an out board on then you should have bout a small boat! 4 There is no max riding clubs 5 People with quads won't want to ride with some one with a max, to SLOW |
max how deep does the water have to be to start to float?
|
Maxes arent the futer they ruled the 1960s not 2000+ they are nothing but a tub with wheels.
|
NO 6x6 WILL EVER BEAT A HIGH QUALITY 4x4. ENOUGH SAID.
|
6x6's already beat 4x4s. Look at duallies, and military trucks.
