Default Need opinions on my honda trx70

I have had my trx70 since 1990 and need to give it a new owner but don't know much about it. I had originally thought of putting it up for $200 but have been recently told it's worth $850 and wanted to have more opinions to find out truly how much it's worth.

Welcome! I would start a new thread, this one is 11 years old and I would expect the market has changed. If it were mine and it were mechanically sound with good tires and plastic, $850.00 is a good place to be. Where you may run into trouble is there are a ton of decent Taiwan made Machines out there with bigger motors and or suspension. Still, it is a Honda, and they haven't produced a smaller than 90cc machine for quite a while. There are also some old school Honda guys that can't resist these classic quad and trikes...

In working condition, they don't really lose value after a certain point. That Honda motor has been around forever, they are stone reliable and require little maintenance. It is a great quad for anyone that has a kid that wants to ride vs watching dad wrench on a Chinese disposable.

It is crazy how these quads do hold their value. $850 sounds a bit high though, I've seen Honda Recons priced for that before. $500 would be a reasonable amount to ask I would think. That puts it a little lower than the new chinese crap. Many people don't know they're crap though, they just see the low price and buy them.

The only thing is, this is really for a 5,6,7 year old kid. To small to put on a recon. It is a step above the 50cc machines in some regards. To bad big H didn't update them with some shocks and put them back on the market.
