The Best Kid's Quad for Racing?

My 7 yo has outgrown his 1985 lt50 and i want him to race this summer. So, I'm looking for a new ride for him. I have seen some sweet looking Dinli 90's, but are they a quality product? I saw haydug had a liquid cooled LEM. Which kid's quads should i be looking at? I had the lt80 in mind, but the suspension isn't that great.

i don't want to spend $8k for a new cobra or any other overpriced kid's quad.

just looking for some advice.

Thanks

My recomendation is a kasea.. The reason I say that is the dependability of the machine as well as the amount of upgrades available for it. My son races a polaris scrambler 90 and we havn't had one problem with it but, their arent as many upgrades available for it like the kasea. Everyone around us has the kasea quads and they are very dependable.. I am sure alot of people will have many different views so good luck !!!!

The Dinli, LRX/kasea,Lt80 are all good bikes.
Yes the suspension sucks on a LT80, it sucks on all minis. The cases break on the LT80. The swingarm breaks on the others.
Same but different is what I've allways said.
Get the one that has the features you are looking for. Also, parts availability is a giant plus.
Any can be made to be a good racer.
as far as price goes, the Dinli/etc. are cheaper than the LT. With the LT we mod exsisting parts. With the others you buy more parts. The end result is approx the same dollar amount IMO (3.5-4k for a new machine w/mods)..
Good luck and have fun.

Not sure where you are but to race in our district or at ATVA events I believe he would have to be 8 to race an LT80. Check your local rules before you buy a quad he can't even race.

Honda 90
Extremely reliable, many upgrade parts available

Both my sons started riding at age 3 1/2 on a Honda 70, so they have never known the pleasure of riding a fully automatic quad.
But, by age seven stock for stock they will eat a Suzuki LT80 for lunch on vertually any terrane.

I've told my boys they cannot have a fully automatic quad until they master the gear jammers.

And for the record I'm not one of those Honda or nothing people, my ride is a Kawasaki P650 and a Suzuki LT500.
We've owned a few of the fully auto kid quads and I just got tired of trying to keep the darn transmission dry and constantly replace the breaks. No engine breaking = constant break replacement.

All this is IMO

Good Luck
