dingo 150 cranks won't start
My mom's 150 dingo has a very hard to start concern, and now it won't start at all. has compression and fire so it stands to reason its the carb. Does anyone have any experiance with these carbs w/auto choke? Or the same problem?

The auto choke is very prone to failing. There is a kit that you can get to remove the auto choke and put manual choke on it. I do not know where to get it but some here may know.

the best thing would be to replace the carb with a manual choke, if the choke the problem, you can replace the whole carb with a manual choke for about the same price of a manual choke kit, e-bay item# 270010932411, cost is $80 plus $8 shipping,

My Kazuma Falcon 150 did the same as yours. Found the problem was a hair line crack in the rubber housing of the intake manifold. You will probably have to remove the intake to get a good look. Take the manifold and look it over real good. Gently flex the rubber to see if there is a crack.
I used black RTV silicone rubber to fix it. I applied one coat and smeared it real good over the crack. I let the silicone cure and then gave it a second coat. Reinstalled the intake and the problem was solved. I did this last fall and its still working fine. This may not be what is wrong with yours, but the only way to find out is to check it out. Hope this helps! This, and one of the headlights went out has been the only problems with our Kazuma. Clava |
