From what it sounds like you have either a Kazuma Falcon, or a Redcat FX-150. They are the same quad. I agree with the solenoid most likely causing your issue. Depending upon what it looks like you may be able to jump across the poles of it to see if it turns over then. If it does turn over by jumping across the poles, then the solenoid is your problem.

Do you think if i adjusted the valves on my sons meerkat 50, that it would solve my problem of cold starts;runs fine when warm;already cleaned carb completely.Very extended cranking when cold;have to use battery charger to get it started;battery wont do it.Starts back up and runs fine when warm.I have adjusted the carb with the 1 1/2 turns-out starting point.I also pulled off the flywheel cover to check if the flywheel key has slightly sheared and possibly offset the timing;but that's not so.Have changed the plug but dont know what the gap is supposed to be;papers never said.

Slick250,

I think adjusting the valves will definately help with your problem. You will be amazed at the difference. We take care of 5 - 50's between my kids, nephews, and friends, and every time one of them has hard starting problems, a valve adjustment takes care of it. They generally need this done once or twice a year. After adjusting them, it only takes a touch of the button for it to fire, no more cranking and cranking to get them to fire.

yes i agree try to adjust the valve.

and on the air fuel screw use the 1 1/2 out as a starting point move it a 1/4 to 1/2 turn in or out

I adjusted the valves on mine and it resolved my problem. both valves were to tight so they were stuck open. Now the thing starts first time without choke.
