Default Service literature needed for Loncin ATV 150, manual transmission

I bought a new Chinese ATV 150 with a Loncin engine and manual transmission. The seller furnished a nearly useless User Manual (for a different model with automatic transmission and very different electrical circuit) and an inappropriate tool kit that is shabby beyond belief. I have spent many hours troubleshooting electrical problems and finishing assembly. I'd pay handsomely for a decent service manual, but the manufacturer does not repond to my inquiry, and the seller can't obtain even the correct User Manual. I suspect that the ATV 150 is a knock-off of a Japanese quad. The front chain drive sprocket is identical to those on Kawasaki engines. I'd be very grateful for advice, especially a lead to the correct circuit diagram. Thanks,
tomrudy

This is in response to the suggestion by 2manytoys that I post photos of the nameless Chinese ATV 150 with a Loncin engine. I have taken four photos and compressed them in JPEG format so that each file is less than 500KB. I get the impression that I am not permitted to attach the JPEG files to this response. I'd appreciate guidance about posting the pics.

I am a novice in this forum and in regard to ATVs. Not only that, but I'm nearly 83 years old and getting senile! Apologies for mistakes. Thanks for your interest.

Even if we had the pics it is still going to be very hard to find that service manual with the wiring diagram. I have a parts catalog of a 150cc quad with a manual trans but I'm not sure if it is Loncin. The parts catalog unfortunately does not have the wiring diagram. Still trying to locate. I am determined to find something that will help. Need more time. Maybe post the electrical problem you are having with the quad. Someone may have already had the same problem or similar to the one you are having. They may have the fix for it.

Not sure if these are Loncin engines but it may be a start.

Here is a site. 150cc Quads

I would give this company a call to see if they have the wiring diagram for your quad or might know where to get it. They have some wiring diagrams posted on their site but none for the 150 quad. They also have some owner manuals posted.

Good Luck.

Thanks, hoytultratec,

I have uploaded pics and assume they are awaiting approval. I hope someone recognizes my ATV. Perhaps it is sold with a different name. Mine was identified only as ATV 150, no brand name, but the Loncin name on the motor probably identifies the manufacturer.

Thanks, smb05,

I have solved all of the pressing electrical problems by brute force, but it required complete removal of the body and lots of work with a VOM. I still am not absolutely certain about some of the magneto and ignition timing sensor wires, but they work. I am very uncomfortable owning anything without reasonable documentation. I am pretty sure that my model ATV 150 has been supplanted by a model with automatic transmission and drastically different electric circuitry. Also, I'd like to be able to identify parts by number rather than vague description. I appreciate your interest.

Best regards,

Tom Rudy
