After reviewing the C.A.R.B. 2007 "red sticker" riding season schedule, it has come to my attention that C.A.R.B. "green sticker" approval really doesn't apply to us NorCal folks, except in very specific cases. Just about every National Forest and BLM land in NorCal has a "year round" open season for red-sticker OHV's. So, what this means for me and my family, choosing a "green sticker" ATV is not a going concern. Other parts of the state are not so lucky, but even still, "red sticker season" includes all but 3 months of mid summer. Granted, summer is probably the most popular season, but your "red sticker" quad will still be ok October through May or June.

I thought the "red sticker" season was much more limiting, but it actually hardly applies for us Northern California residents. This opens up alot more options when searching for a Chinese quad, as many of them dont have C.A.R.B. approval.
