Trouble with Blazer 90
I just bought a Blazer 90 for my son, it looks the same as an Arctic Cat 90, and I am having a major hesitation or stumbling problem with it. It idles great and starts right up but off idle and high throttle it has no power and will die. It seemed to run fine when I bought it but since I got it home my poor kid has not been able to ride it.
It had a tank of dirty gas with possibly some water in it, so I drained and rinsed the fuel tank and changed the fuel filter and cleaned the fuel shut off valve. I have had the carb off and I have cleaned it a number of times, because it seems like a fuel starvation problem, but nothing has changed. I have checked the reed valve, compression and it has a great spark while cranking. I have even tried spraying carb cleaner around the crank seals while it is running but that made no difference.
If anyone has any suggestions my son and I would really appreciate it!
Thanks

Trouble with Blazer 90
What kind of card adjustment am I looking at? I guess there is a way to determine jet size but I don't have a chart or any of that information. I have tried moving me main needle up but it really didn't do a whole lot. I have been running it without the air tube installed maybe that could make things worse.
Thanks for your help!

Yes, it will make things worse. The jetting is very sensative on these machines. Leave the tube in, make sure the filter is clean and properly secured. Make sure your pipe isn't clogged. Also, take the main jet out and make sure it is clear. If the machine has a fuel filter, replace it.

Trouble with Blazer 90
Hi...Darin Here!
Say...I ran across your posting regarding your Blazer 90 and I am having the EXACT same issue with mine...bummer eh??? I have replaced the entire exhaust system, pulled apart and cleaned the carb several times, and changed out the lug....nothing! It starts and idels great, but once you put a load on it, it just dies.
I was wondering if you have found a solution to this yet?

Trouble with Blazer 90
I found a manual for the machine and double checked the jet numbers to be sure they are correct. They were. I installed the carb after setting the float level again and installed the air tube and it seam to run a lot better. I will have it out this weekend and know for sure.
Good luck.
Good luck.
