Lights for a 2007 Honda TRX 90

Although my soon to be 7 year old daughter doesn't know it yet I have bought her a new TRX 90 for her birthday. I haven't messed with the bike much but will report when I do. The only problem I immedietly have is there are no lights on it. Does anyone know of a place where I can buy a kit to add a headlight and tail light?

I have been a Honda guy my whole life and as far as I can remember every Honda I have ever owned had at least a headlight (with the exception of my few CR series dirt bikes) even my first ATC 110 had a headlight that ran from the Magneto. You would think Honda would add these if for no other reason than to help keep kids visible to other riders which in turn keeps them safe.

Alright I am off my soap box, any help with a good light kit would be very appreciated......

Thanks ATVING but Trail Tech doesn't have lights for the TRX 90. I assume it will be more than just adding lights, I imagine the electrical system is not set up for it so I might need a bigger alternator or something to?

From what I have read on here....yes....the stator won't handle a lot of extra load such as lights. My 8 year old son wants lights for his 06 TRX90 but where we ride, all private land, we don't need them. We have access to 230 acres of land and just him, me and my girlfriend ride on it.

I have been toying with the idea of a small, cheap fog light, something in the 35 watt range and a small taillight and installing them but I have second thoughts about it. Over the winter months, the battery ran down on his 90, mostly due to lack of riding as we rode maybe one time over the whole winter and his atv sat for maybe two months. After a brief charge, all was well.

I have the throttle screw turned in on his 90 and I have gradually backed it out ever so little. Top speed as of now, clocked with a GPS is about 20 mph. With the screw turned out all the way, top speed is between 35 and 40 mph, plenty fast on that small of a machine.

All the maintenance I have done on his machine is adjust the chain, cleaned the chain and change the oil. It's a cold natured beast, more so in cooler temps but runs just great after it warms up. The cold nature of the engine is not that bad in warm temps.

The only complaints I have on the machine is the lack of back-up pull starter and no reverse. My son, who has Asperger's Disorder, has learned not to drive into situations where he has to back-up.

I look forward to the day I can get him a 250 Recon and maybe sell his 90. One thing about the little Honda is it holds it's resale value quite well.

Perhaps you should consider using a light with a nice big rechargeable battery. I wanted to put lights on mt AC DVX 50, too, but it seems the stator won't handle it.

our 04 trx (bought it new) needs a brake light more than a headlight, we always try to be home before dark, we ride on 1100 acres across from our house , several times i have had to hit the brush because my son decides to just stop, because he wants to talk and a big brake light would be better than getting ate up by briars just a thought, and if he had a headlight i would never get any sleep..LOL

I have this same concern about our raptor 80 and 50 (no brake light). it happens to be that there is a switch on the rear brake hand lever that used as a starter safety switch in parallel with the nuetral switch. I was thinking of using this switch for a brake light. however because a light could draw too much power for mini stator (especially if used with a headlight) an LED taillight would work awesome in this application. they draw hundreds of milliwatts of power (as opposed to watts)and yet put out alot of light. I have seen alot of these in different shapes and sizes and various mounting configurations.
