Last weekend at Pismo my sons 50 was not running real well. It kept cutting out in the mid range especially when cold and I cant count the number of times I had to restart it.

I was washing the bike this week and decided to remove one of the platic side panels and to my suprise the entire intake boot between the carb and air cleaner had come off. Additionally the intake manifold between the carb and cylinder head was loose. Both hex screws were either never tightened down properly, or had worked their way loose. I'm not sure what may have made it past the intake filter over the weekend but the bike is running much better now after I got everything tightened back up. I'm not sure if this was an oversight at the factory, or dealer but somebody messed up that is for sure.

Tighten down the drain screw on the carburetor... The bike was dumping fuel every time I tried to start it... I thought the carb was dirty or the float was stuck... After remove all fuel lines and spraying the carb with compressed air I notice the drain screw was loose...
Tighten it and she fired right up.
