sundiro won't charge battery...
bought my kids a 50cc 2 stroke sundiro & it runs pretty good besides the fact that it won't charge the battery. it will run for probably 3 hours before the battery is dead. i really have no idea where to start looking. also, like i said, it usually runs good but i had to clean the carb when i first got it before it would even start. the float needle was dirty. now every now & then it will run really sluggish until i tap on the bowl. i'm guessing the needle is getting stuck again. i've looked around but i'm not really having much luck finding parts. any suggestions?

do a search for "not charging battery" here in the chinese section. LynnEdwards, mywifesquad, and others will be able to help you out.

Homerj,
This following recent link below is very similar to your problem. It is not the same quad of course, but the procedure for testing the charging system is the same. http://forums.atvconnection.com/chin...g-problem.html Once you verify that charging system is or is not working we can proceed from there. |
if the charging system is fine. try getting ahold of an auto battery charger with a recondition mode. I use my recondition to help batteries that can't seem to charge. I have a ctek 1000 or something like that. I clip it onto my battery I intend to charge, and it starts cycling thru how charged the battery is and if it goes up then back down within a few minutes and keeps cycling or stays at the almost full line over night I know something is wrong and I set it to recondition. after it goes to green on recondition it usually charges regularly afterwards :)
