action buddy (outlaw??) ATV cuts out then dies

I have a "action buddy" 50cc atv. Detailed specs shown here

2 stroke premixing mixing at 32:1 according to what was listed on the ATV's gas cap(not sure how trustworthy that is).

1. I appears that I must use the choke to start engine. This takes about 10-15 kicks. I replaced the spark plug a month ago, seems compression is low..??

2.Upon starting with the choke on, engine will idle fine for a ~30 secs than die. Sooner if I wait 2-3 secs then give it any gas

3.If I take choke off engine will idle fine for a ~20 secs than die. Sooner if I wait 2-3 secs then give it any gas

4. If I start it and immediatly turn choke off and push throttle 75% - wide open, it seems it will run all day and not die. If I let off the throttle and idle for 2 secs, then give it gas, engine will die.

additional info
I can't find and A/F mixture screw on the carb.
I removed air filter on carb to make sure that was not an issue.
I have cleaned carb a couple times and don't think that is the issue since it runs with throttle wide open. Fuel is clearly flowing through and making it to engine intake.
As I type this, I am really questioning if the Mixture is wrong and should be more of a 40:1 or 50:1. Previous owner appeared to have it mixed with less oil as existing fuel in tank seemed to be less dark.

As always, thanks for your input

I road this atv the other day. I dumped about 12-16 oz of straight gas, no oil, in the tank with the existing mixture thinking I would run it with a mixture containing less oil and more fuel. It kinda seemed to run somewhat better , in that it seemed to atleast idle. But once I gave it gas I had to listen to the engine and back off the throttle as needed, before it would die. Eventually I would get it to the point were it would move forward and run decent as long as I kept the rpm up. Now I am going back to thinking it's a carb issue but........

Sounds like your pilot jet is clogged...once you give it throttle the carb comes off the pilot and the needle/main take over...they tend to have very tiny holes and can clog quite easily. 32:1 is fine if you're not fouling plugs...you can increase the ratio, like 36:1, but use a high quality injection oil...just remember, more oil=longer life...

Thank you. That makes complete sense considering what I was experiencing. I wasn't aware there are multiple passages. Took carb off and cleaned the pilot jet and now it idles perfectly.

Thank you again!

Glad to help...much pain/frustration/suffering experienced over the years...these sites are a God-send...wish they were around back when I started tinkering...there are some really knowledgeable folks on this site & I've gained as much as I've given!
