Jack's right...hard to check because they are behind the clutch and flywheel. I'm still kinda hung up on that plug pic...it still looks wet to me...crank seal leak would have you running leaner...you can kinda maybe check by putting your hand over the carb intake (plug off), crank the motor and "feel" the tug...if strong then maybe not...if weak, then probably yes...

i will try that Friday I have off.... what do you mean by “plug off” just the key turned off so there is not any spark to the plug... also I was going to pull the carb again and the reed cage to take a look at those is it possible that there is air getting in around the black spacer that goes against the cylinder and carb ? Do you ever put any hi temp silicone to seal up those areas ? Just an idea ... and I ordered crank seal just in case..... is a difficult task installing ?

If it's running, you can spray carb cleaner around and see if the rpm's change.
I don't use gasket stuff on the carb spacer (insulator). I use a lil grease to hold the o-ring in place. Usually not a problem.

Put my hand over the back of the carb and it pulled pretty good ..... the only problem is I really don’t have much of a basis for comparison. I have read more and more about those cheap carbs from eBay can have you chasing fuel / air issues so bit the bullet and ordered a OEM carb. I will post an update once it is installed !
