I bought my FX400 on 10/13 so far I've been through 3 clutches
each clutch had less than 3hrs.Also 2 chain sliders, the first one
lasted aprox 6hrs the second about 2hrs.The chain was adjusted
to the manuel. All maintence was done by dealer. They told me to
give them one more try on the clutch.I realy love riding the
bike when it works, and it is fun when you pull up at a track with something diferent everone lines up to check it out. But im starting to wonder about this bike beeing a lemon. What do yall think.

Well, If I were you I would just trade it in on a Moto!! Seriously, if you are having that many probelms, either trade it in on a Moto, or make the dealer give you a new Speed or something.

ltracerx,I was thinking the same thing. The dealer I bought mine from
was talking about some sort of sponsership im sure nothing big.I have
been reel patient with them.I think it would be a GOOD move fore
them and Canondale to trade it for a speed or even better the moto.
I am well known at the tracks in my town, and it wont look very good for cannondale if I keep having to race the trusty old EX,because the
FX is in the shop.I still want to have fath in Cannondale for what
they are doing for our sport. My dealer said it was up to Cannondale
to make that move on the trade.Maybe if Scott Montgomery is still
looking at these forums he will investagate this.

Killer, I have a question for you, what do you currently ride? I am thinking that you just make alot of crap up due to inconsistency of posts. One day you have a 400EX, the next a Raptor, then YOU are looking at a Cannibal, then it's for your FRIEND, now back to you. I am not trying to start anything here but, stop making up such stupid stuff. There is no need to lie, alright.

Special, did you get my Private Message?

special, as you know I also went through a clutch. Mine lasted for 4 months though. After I got it replaced that 1st time its been ok. I do believe if I would not have changed my riding style it would have already went out again though. It was hard for me to do but I MADE myself change how I was riding. I wasn't slipping the clutch like a two stroke or anything, but I was constantly using it in every corner, I also didnt have it adjusted right but I'm sure that you do. I Still dont ride it exactly like a four stroke but alot different than I was. It seems alot slower riding it the way I am now but its not. In fact I can turn quicker lap times now. I'm just wondering if its the way you ride? Although it seems like even if you rode it just like a two stroke it should last more than 3hrs! Just a thought. Keep us informed o.k. Oh and by the way if you dont mind me asking is your quads production # high or low. Mine is in the upper 400's, dont know if this could make a difference or not. Anyway just trying to help you figure this out, it is strange!

OK Killer, you just said you sold your Raptor, why would you want another one? You also said you were going to pick up your Cannibal on Wednseday, hmmmm... another bunch of BS? I am choosing to ignore you. If you are sincere in your posts I am sorry, but you just don't make much sense to me. If you really want to know what to buy, I would go with the Cannondale, but thats just my opinions, you can search for the reasons because I don't feel like typing anymore.
