I need a chain slide (swing arm buffer... what ever you wanna call it) by Sunday. Every company I could think of is sold out or hasn't gotten them in yet. Is there something else I could use (temporarly) in the place of a chain slide? There is a practice on Sunday at our local track and I really need to go because I want to practice on the track before I race the Dale. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

Man that sucks!!! I hope they come out with a fix soon!

Just a thought, do you think a strip of tire would work for temp.
use.I thought about it but never tried it.

Tell your dealer to order another to have a spare.

I don't know if this will work but for a temp fix, try finding a thin piece of metal or something and attach it to the where the slide would go. I doubt the chain would eat through it very fast, may not be too good for your chain though but it'll save your swingarm.

I would think it would eat right through a piece of tire pretty quickly. Maybe a strip of plexiglas from a hardware store. They should be able to cut you off a strip however long you need. It's pretty hard but not too hard where it would damage your chain.

Have you tried calling R & S Performance? Maybe one from a different quad would work if you customized it. I doubt it though. Hope you find one.

tempting. If you try it let us know what happens.

Yeah, you hear a lot of people say that theirs wore down after 40 hours of use, and that is fast! Get THIS... Mine wore down completely and put couple sets of small grooves in my swingarm in just over 10 hours!!!!!!! It might even be a little less than 10 hours!!!! I ordered one from my local dealer and they have to order it from c-dale, so now I'm just hoping it will come in on time.
