AC Nerfs
#1
Just got the AC Standard Nerf. At 2:00 had them back at the house, at 3:30 done.
The Right side had some problems going in the hole, alittle sandpaper and than it fit.
The Left side, no problem.
On both sides though, they have to be pulled into the foot rest there was about a 10 degree angle away from the foot rest. I don't really like to Pre-load aluminum and that's what is happening to the front of them. A likely place in which to break. The Nets need alot of help. To short towards the front, to make the look balanced. Maybe it's me.
They have them in stock and where 161.00 with Ca tax.
I do like the look of the angles back away from the front tire.
Ready to race, next a kill switch already know from the previous post about them.

That's pretty good time Smitty! 1.5 hours. I'm about to order some of the ACs and appreciate the info. I'll have to hole drill the frame first, since my 'bull doesn't have those handy black caps there. I like the look of the ACs better than the Graydon. Did you remove your hell guards?

Smitty,
I know what you are saying with the rear of the AC's lining up with the peg. I don't think that breaking will be too much of an issue, we use our pegs for our body weight anyways. It took me about 30 minutes to install mine, the front holes were the pain if you ask me; had to really work them in...and used some anti seize on them....

Ryanstones,
1 1/2 hours is good for me. I'm of course the cheapest wrench I know.
I didn't get the propeg due to I heard that the aluminum will not hold an edge long and start to get slippery. The other reason was the healguards would have to be removed.
One more thing,
When you go to Drill the holes in the footpeg, make sure you are somewhere near the middle. Due to the size of my drill and my super mechanicial skills the inside holes are alittle closer to the bottom of the foot peg.
Alaska,
I didn't use any Anti-seize, is there a concern about them locking toghter, I forgot what the term was. I know that different metals might have a problem.
I'm happy with them.
