OK,whats the difference between blaze mapping cannibal mapping moto ECT ECT. Which is the best? Is the cannibal fine as it is when it comes in?
Icav |
the cannibal has no midrange. i hear the blaze has more low and midrange.
|
Bull...........Anyway I think it has enough mid-range for me.
I'm not going to race it professionally. Does it have more mid range then a say 400EX??? How about a 250EX? Sh1t.......I'd hope so. Icav |
icav - How many NORMAL people (that know what their talkin about) have you heard from here that have problems with their mid-range power on any of their C-dales???? Exactly, none, nada, zero, zip. The only reason you would need any remapping done is if you are going w/ an aftermarket silencer. The main ones that think the no mid-range power statement is bull sh!t are ones that do a lot of mx racing. Hmmmmm.... I think us mx racers should know a little about that .
P.S. You might want to edit that first word out of your reply... it doesn't offend me but there are some 12 year olds in here that don't need to see that . |
Ok its gone............how much would remapping cost me?
thanx Icav |
Corndog has no clue..
I have a fairly modified 400EX that I race cross country - the throttle response and midrange of the stock Cannibal are awesome, better than my 400EX. The very bottom end won't compete with the EX, but after that, it's the Cannibal all the way. It's a different feel completely, the Cannibal accelerates like a 2 stroke. The Blaze & Moto mapping I've heard will work well in a quad with a more free flowing exhaust than what the Cannibal comes with. The stock Cannibal is fairly quiet, where the Moto's and Blaze's are race quads and fairly loud. The stock Cannibal has a very acceptable noise and power level straight out of the box - tune to your liking from there. |
WELL what if i wanted to put a new silencer on it,does that mean I would HAVE to remap my engine?
Icav |
HMF exhaust w/ moto 440 remapping cost $247 I believe. If you buy an after market silencer, I think you DO need to remap. It's really not much of a problem. You can send the computer to R&S Performance (you can take it to your dealer too but I'm getting mine done where I know they'll do it right) and when they get the computer, they'll remap it and have it back to you the next day! Now THAT is some good customer service.
|
Oh,I get it now it has a computer on it cuz of the fuel injection and all of that..............that is like so coooooooool.
|
If your happy with your stock silencer you could always just get the Speed maping which will raise your rev limit up another 1000 rpms without changing the fuel maps. I am actually contemplating buying the software just to be able to hook up my quad to a computer and mess with stuff. Very cool stuff. I cant wait till the aftermarket figures out how to make performance maps with heavy cams, ported heads, oversized valves, and titanium valve springs. Patience young grasshopper we will have our day soon enough Oh yea never mind the processed corn and mystery meat byproduct on a stick, nothing but junk from him. (that I have seen anyway)
