I put a deposit on an 03' Moto 6 weeks ago but when I was told it would not be available until mid-November I decided to just settle for an 02'. I wonder what differences there will be. I heard it will be 15lbs. lighter. That's alot! Also I hate the front plastics om my quad. I cut the fenders already and it looks much better and I tried to order the QuadTech hood but R&S was out of stock and QuadTech never returned my call. I wonder if the Fullbore platics I have been reading about will look any better. Maybe they will look like the 250R plastics. Does anybody know what I can do to reduce the weight on my Moto. I was wondering if a chromoly stem would be lighter and maybe some Hyper wheels? Also what is the width of my rear rims? I'm ready for more power!

You can get the Hood from East Coast ATV, Quad Tech is backed up right now because of a trade show. The steering stem is already chromoly, designed by Arens. Rear rims on the moto should be 8X8.

8x8 HiPer wheels only come with an integrated wheel hub and may not be available for the cannondale's spline pattern yet. HiPer 9" and 10" are available or any 4 on 110 Honda wheel will suffice. I would wait out the HiPers. They are totally trick!

I heard about that. I'd scrounge up all the rings you can find! I hope they do get the presses to make rings.....afterall they paid for them!

Buying the Hiper's would be the easiest thing you could do to save weight. I bought a set for my R and they are incredible wheels, lighter and stronger than steel/aluminum and have much better tolerances (roundness).
