How much to remap cannibal
#11
I bought the GP software so I could change these setting myself.
Did you have to buy an adaptor to hook up to a laptop, or is there a rs232/serial port or USB connector already built onto the bike? Also how much did it cost to purchase the software and where might I be able to purchase it?

I purchased the SW through RS Performance. I think it was $350. The SW comes with a serial cable that attaches to the connector above the left front tire. It's very easy to use but I have been afraid to do anything but load maps and change the injector offset.

Be careful with those injector settings. My understanding is that the injector offset is specific for each quad and set at the factory. Something about matching up the 2 injectors. everyone says that they set them too rich, but dropping from 1.0 to .85 may be extreme. The .85 setting in the moto map just reflects the setting in the motor they built the quad in.
Mine is set at .80, and I keep it that way no matter what map I run. The Injector Offset, Injector Flow Rate, and TPS settings are quad specific.

Sometimes changing these settings does help alot. Some claim that over time the injectors get polished from fuel running through them.I was told to change the flow first in increments of 50 the bigger the number the leaner it will run.Injector offset is a last resort .01 increments lower the number leaner it will run. These settings effect the entire rpm range my buddy who is testing a pipe from Aaen performance had to go way richer to get it to work well.I have big gun I also richened it slightly didnt make much diff.
It would be awesome if someone would start a website to collect custom maps to share some people have the ability to compare maps to oneanother on the computer so I wouldnt be afraid to use them since any bugs could be caught would need some kind of moderator to certify the maps that would be slick huh?The guys that have procal with the trim buttons right on the quads have some awesome maps I bet I sure wish I could richen or lean while I was riding.

I can probably do the website to collect maps, if someone else will moderate and check the maps out. My web server is here at my house, and I'm getting ready to bump up the link speed. I guess I would need some sort of disclaimer too, I certainly don't want to be held accountable for bad maps.
