I wouldnt get to excited about cannondales new owner being at the upcoming dealer show in indy. From what ive read here and in other forums it will be another month or so before they can even announce who is bidding on them, but I may be incorrect in this. I hope so, but dought it. What does everyone else think?

And where did you hear that? I heard Polaris, Artic Cat, Harley and all of the above. Is there any validation to that rumor? God I hope so.

I heard H-D from my dealer today also. He said that Cannondale would continue to build the frames for the bikes and quads, but Harley purchased them and would be taking them to the next level. Let's cross our fingers. I can't wait for the rumors to end.

I have been a Harley-Davidson dealer for many years and have a really tough time seeing this happening, I amnot saying it is impossible but very difficult. I have two stores, one is Harley and Buell, the second is Cannondale, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. The staff at the harley store is passonate about Harley and they would not be my choice as parts, sales, and technicians to do anything with Cannondale. It would take an entirely different staff, much like the staff at the second store.
Hope this makes sence to you all, payroll is one of the largest expences in running a business and to add more staff and showroom space would require a large investment. We have carried Buell since before it was part of Harley and even this category is very difficult. Think of the avid Harley enthusiasts you know and ask yourself if you would want to deal with them to buy your new Cannondale, parts, and do your service work???
