If I were stickin w/ quads, I would be more than willing to support the company that releases a good quad. Cannondale is dead (atleast the motorsports div. is) so there is not point in supporting a company that only builds bicycles now if you are a quad rider. The way I see it, I just want to sell this quad and support the "team" from the sidelines. I'm switching to Yamaha Dirtbikes now.
Tomorrow (actually later on this morning) I'm gonna go see about that YZF! 250F, HERE I COME!!!!!

Actually, yes, Cannondale Motorsports are officially done...
MxDale71, I'm pretty much doing the same thing. The money that I had set aside for the Blaze is going to go towards dirtbikes for me and my girlfriend ( CRF250X for me, a TT-R125LE for her)

I CAN SEE PEOPLE NOT WANTING TO SUPPORT A COMPANY THAT IS NOT THEIR,AND ITS BEAT THAT THEY JUST WENT UNDER AND LEFT ALL THE LOYAL CANNONDALE RIDERS OUT IN THE COLD.BUT THIS IS A AWSOME QUAD AND I WOULDENT SELL IT FOR THAT REASON .IM SURE PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR GOOD WILE AND I ALSO THINK IF ENOUGH PEOPLE DEMANT IT THEIR WILL BE AFTERMARKET PARTS MADE BY SOMEONE,ITS TO GOOD OF A QUAD TO JUST LET GO TO WASTE.I MEAN I WAS THINKING OF SELLING MINE JUST BECAUSE I WANT A 4X4 QUAD NOT BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPEND,BECAUSE AS FAR AS SPORT QUADS GO THE CDALE IS THE BEST!AND IF THEY MADE A 4X4 I WOULD BE LOOKING TO GET ONE.

Hang on to it. Imagine how many races you can win before another company gets smart enought to build one like it. If people have the means i.e money, knowledge, skill, to keep these things going, these things are going to be like the Batmobile. They'll show up when least expected kick the crap out of other quads and leave people saying "What the hell was that?" I said it before and I'll say it again, C-dales are now a part of history. Rare, potent, unique. How many other things out there haven't been made for years and people would kill to get their hands on one.

I hate to break it to you cannondale owners but your bike is going down in value by the day. Your quads are not going to hold their value like the 250r. No way no how. It aint going to happen. Cannondale is through, its going to be hard to find parts. Stuff is only worth as much as people will pay. Why would someone pay decent money for a quad that its going to be hard as heck to find parts for??
The 250r kept its value because its the best quad ever built perid. There was no competition for it untill 10 years after production ended. Honda kept making parts because they knew they'd make a killing. The cannondale was a very revolutionary quad but it did not change and influence racing like the R.
I truly feel bad for all you cdale owners. Its a shame to see money go down the drain.

if the 250r has kept its value so well, then why do they go for about 2500 or less for a used stock bike???
when the 250 went out of production, it had ran for much longer than the cdale has, so had a larger buyer base. There was also fewer options for the sport quad buyer at that time. limited to few bikes like the lt's, the r, and the tecate, and only 3 manufacturers. the difference is that honda didnt go out of business, and cdale has. its apples and oranges, stop boasting about how great your quad is when no one asked.
The cdale will be a relic, but a good one. I have not had the pleasure of riding one, but i have seen them and admired from afar. Had i the money, there would have been a speed in my garage and not a raptor. If anyone plans on staying in quads, and has a cdale, keep it. They will not fade away, just become more sparse. Its like the time a tecate came and kicked my butt at the hill climb, I didnt even realize what it was until i was told. I think that kind of experience is fun for everyone, keep the spirit alive of an innovative and excellent machine.

I'm also not selling because of their situation... I just can't afford quad racing in general. If I had any other quad, I would still be selling to get a bike.

Cannondale first production quad in the pro class in a long time??? hmm How many cannondles acctually raced in the pro class? Just Ben Jackson? I have heard from many people, many who are high up in the industry that the cannondales are great for amature racers but just don't cut it for the pros, and i belive them. If the cdales were pro quality, more than 1 or 2 pros would of ran them.
Kawi got into GNCC racing way before cdale thought of making a quad. There is no way you can say the dale revolutionized the atv world like the R did. In the pro class (Not pro production), every single quad running is based off the R, weather is has a 265pv, yz440, crf, or a drz motor in it. Those are the top breed of race quads, and their all based off the all mighty R. The R motor is finnally beging to be beat by the dirt bike motors in quads.
