Several years ago, a group of hunters in Minnesota invited the farmer on whose land they were hunting to join them. He declined, but they insisted until he agreed. At dawn on opening day he saw movement along the far side of a wide field. I guess he watched it for awhile and decided it must be a deer. He drew a bead and fired, only to find he'd killed an ATV'er riding slwwly along. I don't remember all the details of the news account, but the victim must have been a long way off. It was a sad situation all around, and the farmer, who didn't want to hunt in the first place, has to live with it.
