No response? The truth kinda 'hurts' doesn't it?

It's funny that you can't get these boys from Detroit to just come right out and say what they feel.......... "SCREW whatever problems the 'rest' of this state has........I want riding to be convenient for 'me', TODAY!"(or better yet; "we'll sell more machines when this thing is built!")

And city/suburban people 'wonder' why rural folks tend to be, naturally, a little wary of anything they propose.

blackballed, i am speaking for myself but i believe that yetti and fatts have not responded to ur posts (as w/myself) because it is clear that u are the type that is stirring the pot w/in this forum. no one except u has mentioned anything negative about what part of the state somebody lives on. just to let u know, i am not from detroit and if i was i would indicate that in the city space under my name. also, there is no difference in the atv world and no reason to designate rural, urban, or city riders. we all have the same goal and that is to ride. some are just more fortunate than others and live closer to riding areas or private land. im sure i live in the same area as u.....surrounded by farm land but if u drive 5 minutes u are in a city.
it appears that u are disgruntled for some reason because of the content in ur posts. i prefer to associate w/ persons with a positive attitude toward forward progress and unfortunately if there is no forward progress then be happy with what u have and with the rights we currently have as riders. i will not be a leader (and don't claim to be) in a stand to improve atv rights but will take an active part when i can. on the same hand i will not bash others who do or do not actively or routinely voice their opinions.

there is much more that i can say but im not even gonna waste my time. also, do not even take joy w/my lack of response to ur posts. i read them but will not get into a "west side" / "east side" game w/anyone. again, i will not partake in negative activity w/another rider. i think its great u are from the west side of michigan....and guess what....i also think its great that im from southeast lower michigan.

again, i could go on and on but whats the sense?

hope u can become positive in the future.

don't be mad cuz ur quad weighs 700 pounds....well 740 w/oil and a full tank.

atvdep I must agree with you and say that anything we said in here would make the sport better, even for black balled but appearantly he can not see it. Must be because he is country folk and we are city folk as he would say. You know them country folk they are always slowing us city folk down because they are unable to see a good idea even when it smacks them in the face. Blackballed I am from the east and u the west is there any difference? And by the way I originally posted this thread looking for good places to ride. Yetti and atvdep happened to reply with positive conversation. You never sent a reply to my original post. I am just wondering if you are that unhappy and bored to the point where you must start trouble in here. Please do it with people that are ruin your sport b]"kinda like you are doing to mine" Its no wonder we cant get anything done in this state when people wont use common sense and get on the same page. Anyways Yetti and atvdep thanx for the conversation and either one of you can send me a private message if either of you ever want to chat. I will no longer be looking at this because I have not the time or inclination to play with blackballed.

I agree, the prospect of having everyone on the same team is a little like asking the Lion's to win a game. the only reasons people shoot off their mouth is because they have received a negative respose from more than one person on a given subject. the only advice I can give our friend Blackballed, is to open your mind , and see what walls you can break down. you can be the cure to a problem, or the cause.

'All' of you gentlemen were very happy to let your conversation turn into a lengthy diatribe about what is WRONG with atving here in MI. and how you really 'needed' a closer place to ride in SE MI.

Unfortunately, you ran into someone who knew 'a little' of what you were complaining about and told you the 'rest' of the story regarding how many of the trails in our system are presently neglected...........................and this causes you to 'shoot the messenger'?

Didn't mean to rain on your utopian vision of where our trail system is at today(or at least what would be convenient and ideal for you and your SE. MI. 'buddies', in the near future...............)

John

(Isn't it funny how you can almost predict ahead of time what people 'will' and 'won't' want to talk about?)

it is not that I don't appresiate your help and insite, but no matter how many time you get shut down. you have to pick up and go at it again. It sound like you have experienced the politics ,and personal agendas of many in our state already, but you sound like you were smacked down one time to many, and want to give up the fight ,and just banter with people over the things you learned the hard way. I never give up and I have just got the itch to get started in this quest to help our sport. you should look at what you know and present the facts to everyone without your frustrations and opinions intertwined. the whole of what I know about this state and it politics you could put in a thimble. but I have yurn for knowlage that will benifit everyone.

yetti;

If you want to know what I had to learn the hard way; by asking questions that people didn't want to talk about (ie. the ballyhooed SE. MI. ridiing area) that is fine......I'd be glad to help.

But it is a little disconcerting that you talk about this thirst for knowledge; yet seemingly don't want to discuss the issues at hand, but just 'how' the facts weren't necessarily presented in the manner you desired.

What is it going to be? Cut through the b.s. to what's actually happening or get it spoon fed from the people who have a buck to make? (and maybe 'someday' a closer place to ride/maintain)?

I am very sorry that none of the issues I mentioned above have peaked your interest. Frankly, I have yet to meet 'anyone' from SE MI. that didn't get defensive when the possibility of this new trail was mentioned and it's relation to all the others was debated..........................'gosh', I wonder why?

Always here if you'd like to learn any more about 'outstate' MI. (seriously,we could really use some help),

John

atvdep,fatts,yettiatcpg,
Again excuse my intrusion, but ain't it a shame 'one' person can write 2 pages and not make any sence at all?( I have seen him post under no less than 3 different handles)
All this person does is go from website to website stirring stuff up. Think his meds have run out.
I hope you fellows get your riding place where ever it is. We ATVers need everyplace we can get. If you can ever make a trip to Virginia or Southern West Virginia I hope you enjoy our mountains and trails!
Peace, & Ride Safe
Mash

Oh, c'mon now 'mash (lol)from the one guy that thinks the Hatfield McCoy trail system is some vast private landowner's 'conspiracy' that shouldn't have got federal tax dollar one to start in the first place?

I should apoligize to all here that I am very sorry the 'facts' in my posts are rarely disputed and worse yet;I haven't found an antidote for the pain that the truth will sometimes bring.

I guess if the gentlemen above don't want to discuss the issues that 'they' have brought up any more than you have wanted to discuss who actually OWNS the land that 'you' ride on................then I suppose I 'am' just a troublemaker!(albeit one that uses 'facts' to shut people up!).

And a good day to you also, my good friend!

John

As to my 'aliases'............after being 'banned' from the Michigan ATV Assoc. website for what I have explained above and thrown off 'the nation' for being one of the few to question the forum rules as applied to 'owners' v.s. members; I kind of felt that my present 'alias'(as you would call it) was pretty appropriate! (Awww, c'mon now; you don't like 'that', either?!)
