Govt. car co's
 

Now that the Obama admin, has taken over GM and Chrysler and has said that they will back there warranty's, do you think that will make people want to purchase a car or truck from them? I don't! As far as I'm concerned the govt. is in as bad of shape or in worse shape than the car co.'s are!
Where does that put Ford when the govt. wants to buy cars and trucks? It seems to me like the govt. will buy it's own co.'s cars and trucks! (GM and Chrysler). Ford won't have a chance!
What are your thoughts on this?

I think they would have been better off to declare bankruptcy, move to a non-union state where they could afford to compete, and start anew. Almost everything the gov. gets its hands on gets ruined.

We are becoming a socialist country and every time elections come up and the same 2 political parties are spewing the same old rhetoric is just makes me sick. The government is only good at 2 things, taking your money, and spending your money......and your kids.......and your grandkids........and your great grandkids.......etc etc etc I wish that everyone would wake up and start demanding that our government operate our country the same way we have to operate our homes. You CANNOT spend $10 per month if you only make $5, PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!

No. It isn't socialism. It is good old fashioned fascism.

Having my vehicle warranty backed by the folks who run the post office, the IRS and the DMV doesn't make me want to go out and buy a new vehicle from the big three.

Fascist is truly the word for where we are heading. It will be the power of government telling us what we can drive (or we'll pay the cost in carbon setbacks), what kind of house we can have (again carbon setbacks), what guns we can buy (oh wait the already limit those. Especially here in Massachusetts), etc., etc. But, the rules won't apply to them. They'll still travel on private jets when they go to the environmental summits. They'll have Secret Service agents to protect them while we won't be able to buy firearms to defend ourselves. Obama is talking about his idea to create and fund a mandatory civilian defense force stronger than our military for use inside our borders. The words Brown Shirts come to mind. We already have the local police (God Bless them and protect them) and the FBI for domestic crime. We don't need a politically associated group of PC defenders. There is already talk of bringing back the DEATH TAX (45%)!
That means you pay tax when you earn it, pay tax on the interest you earn for saving it, and then they take 45% of everything when you die! What a racket!

I just bought a '09 Silverado. Awesome truck. Much nicer than my '01. I'm not worried about the warranty. GM is going nowhere. I'm buying American!

I though Obama was a Fascist? I'm confused.

I sold my GM product last year. Apparently they weren't worried about the warranty either. They said there was nothing wrong with it. Guess someone should tell Ford their trucks are supposed to make a very loud clunk sound when you turn.
