That's a smart decision. Too many kids (yeah, you're a kid, I'm old) these days want high tech jobs, not enough in the mechanic and construction field (which I'm in).
This was built on and depends on the blue collar workers.

Yep! IMO with the economy the way it is now and the competition for jobs, a good trade or nursing school is better than racking up student loans of 100 grand or more on a four year degree and not being able to find a decent job, plus have the loan hanging over your head that has to be paid back in 10 years! There will be a shortage of skilled workers from us old boomers retiring in the service and trade industry. Plus any type of healthcare training will almost certainly land the young folks a decent job in helping to take care of us old folks OPT
