longetivity depends a lot on whether you want gas or electric. Unless your a good tuner and are competent enough to tune a nitro engine you should stick to electric first. Generally electric in stock form if its an RTR is going to be slower. A stock engine usually will be a 27 turn motor and will go maybe 20-25mph. A stock nitro car depending on the car/scale that it is can go 35mph or so. The skill to drive the nitro cars will need to be greater as will your knowledge about it. If your just starting out you may want to go electric. Its cheaper, cleaner, and easier to start out doing.
How old are you, and what type of terrain do you plan on driving this thing |

its crazy hard to turn and handle a r/c car at high speeds, so generally they are wider and lower to the ground, because if they weren't they would flip end over end (sorry but it happened to me when i first bought mine) i really don't see why people push it to the limit with nitro, i mean com'n its an r/c car, not nascar
seriously people spend like 3 grand on little 8 pound cars |

Those things rip like paper, if u know what I mean. Nothing like a 2 stroke motor on, well I use 25% nitro, running around 40 thousand rpms. U get the picture. Wheelies. Doughnuts on pavement. Anything. Can’t really do burnouts since they’re so light. and u wouldn’t be able to tell anyway cuzz of the exausght. but I got a savage. man I paid about 400 for that, alot of birthday money, but it is worth it. but alot of maintenance. the guy said for every 2 hours your driving this your gonna spend 1 hour fixing it. its true. but I don’t mind. I need a new pull starter and a cylinder and gasket. I chipped the cylinder head on a huge jump off about a 3-foot hi jump at the top of about a 15-foot high ledge. the bitch soar like 25-35 feet high. I should tape some someday and put it on here. ill go now cuzz you all are probably getting bored.
