Interesting when there's probably not a Native American posting in the thread and a good portion of the posters are bound to have an illegal immigrant somewhere in their ancestry. A large percentage of immigrants from 1880-1930 never officially became US Citizens, but we had began our industrial era and bodies were needed to produce goods, including children.

Unless a poster is making in excess of average per-capita income without home ownership or children all they pay to the government is SS withholding, so the general public complaining about illegal immigrants using tax money is a real joke. Take a look at who pays tax money in the US; 5% of the population pays 60% of all personal income tax. The scale goes down to where the majority of Americans pay no real income tax, but it sounds good in their peer groups to whine about illegal immigrants using social services.

Who honestly believes illegal immigration would be transpiring if jobs weren't available that Americans are too lazy to perform unless paid way beyond what the skill set is worth? I know businesses in Western states that prefer employing Mexicans and other immigrants due to their reliability and work ethics, same pay as 'Americans' receive, but without the whining, demands for personal time off, more money and other attributes that portray a marginal employee. The US has gotten fat, lazy and arrogant. As usual, we're looking for anyone else to blame for our problems in losing our industrial supremacy and transforming into a debt-laden service economy. Illegal immigrants are just another easy target.

 

Here are some interesting FACTS for you all to ponder. Hard to support a case when you look at it from a financial perspective. Look them up if you like, I did.

1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County (L.A. County has 10 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This was because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3's of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L.A.County 5.1 million people speak English. 3.9 million speak Spanish (10.2 million people in L.A.County).

First off, we are a country of "IMMIGRANTS" NOT "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS".

I for one Welcome anyone that wants to come to this country "LEGALLY" and become part of what is the Greatest country in the world.

We are a country of LAWS! Without these LAWS, we have no way of controlling the masses. To EXEMPT 12 Million ILLEGAL Aliens from some type of action for there unlawful behavior, is simply BAD Policy and will only lead to 12 Million more doing the same.

Lets say that I brake into your home while you are away for 3 months in Arizona. When you get back, should I be allowed to stay in your home since I have been there for 3 months? NO, because I entered your home ILLEGALLY. Yet we are telling the 12 MILLION ILLEGAL Aliens that even though they have broken the laws of this Country by entering it ILLEGALLY we are going to allow them to stay.

Lets say I speed to work EVERY Day for 5 years. I have never caused any accidents or harmed anyone. On the 2nd day of the 5th year, I get pulled over for speeding. Should I be let off? After all, I have been doing it for 5 years 2 days. Does it make it any less ILLEGAL? No.

I realize these are silly hypothetical examples, but they represent the absurdity of what is going on with the handling of ILLEGAL Immigration.

We are a Country of Laws with Borders, therefore have the right to Enforce our Laws and Control our borders. Without these things we are not a country at all.

You apparently haven't been to the Emergency Rooms at any Hospital and seen the constant flow of ILLEGAL's using it like a private practice for every little ailment. They use the Emergency Rooms, because they know they can't be refused service. The local hospital in my community had to add on a section just to handle the large volume of Undocumented Citizens that were preventing them from dealing with actual Emergencies.

They "prefer employing Mexicans" due to the fact that they can get away with paying them any wage they want because the ILLEGAL's have no recourse.
