I have an 02 honda and ive cleaned mine. It was a little hard to get to but worth it once it was clean. I had to take the plastics and gas tank off. Took it all apart and cleaned it with some carb cleaner. Like everyone else said maybe just look at the manual for some more help. Should tell you exactly what to do. Im pretty new here also but welcome.
