Mounting etrex venture on a raptor
#1
What do you think of the garmin etrex venture and what is the best way to mount it on a raptor for the $?I used zip ties and it worked okay but with a case it would work better, maybe ziptie the case or buy a mount?

I run the handlebar mount for bicycles. You can see my old GPS on the handlebar on my pics page (number 8). Now I have a Legend Cx with a 2GB microSD card. (Beware of feature AND PRICE creap when looking for toys!) The power point has since been removed as it got corroded and my Venture died.
One thing to note is that these GPS don't like the bumpyness of OHV use. Mine used to shut off a lot. The new one I've only used it out in the desert where it was nice and smooth. Get yourself a nice collection of NiMH AA batteries or the 12V cable and a power point.
