The cheaper gas prices are helping..but it is still expensive. I have more of a problem getting others to go riding, or traveling 50 miles to ride with others...

And Kroy...I'm going to contribute to your job right now......time to go buy a case of beer and hang out outside..its almost 70!

I work for a small construction company and we are going full out. We work 6 days a week 9-11 hour days. Plus we are booked at least a year in advance!! Working so many hours can suck at times because after the wife and kids get done with me I only get to ride at night. But I consider myself very lucky because many trades men in my area have little to no work at all and the local unemployment rate is 7.9%..... This winter might pack a punch with the cost of home heating oil, christmas for my wife and kids ( mainly kids), plus I donate a lot to Toys For Tots and the Salvation Army.

I didn't know there was an economic crisis. Maybe I should start watching the news. I don't even know when to panic, and when not to.

This "crisis" is a result of poor management of capital. Both business and personal assets have been over extended. Everybody wants to live above their means. Too many people and businesses are out there trying to make the quick bucks, and over extended. So now the pyramid is falling apart. While I carry some debt, I have it worked out to where I can meet my obligations on my retirement pay. The money I earn at my job is my investment/fun money. It's all about risk vs. reward. These folks decided to risk more than they should have, let them sink. Those of us that elected to reduce our risk (properly managed risk) are fine; don't ask us to pay for your mistakes. So I have to say, this "crisis" had affected me very little until some jackasses in Washington decide to take my tax money to bail out all the jackasses that over extended themselves. Thought I was living in the USA, a Republic, and not some Socialist crap hole. And while I'm up here on my soap box; I don't care who or what you vote for, but get out and vote! If you fail to vote, live with the way things are, and keep your trap shut! If you vote, then I welcome your views!

The government will always be screwing you. But when the wifes stops, then it's time to panic.
