The guys from Gorilla Axle Inc. are no stranger to pushing the limits but would it surprise you to discover they began as an automotive shop specializing in front end repairs? We've got the full scoop here:

I do believe they make quality products, I just wouldn't be interested. The cost is one thing that would tell me no on these. Yes, if you want to put gigantic tires and lift on your quad you probably need axles like this. I'd rather have a quad that performs well on all types of terrain than one that is set up for only mud. That quad in the pic is so wide that it wouldn't even fit on a lot of atv trails. It probably has the turning radius of a school bus as well. So much for your fenders keeping mud off you too. All that added weight would gobble your power. But if that's what you like, go for it.

With the higher hp SxS units out there and conituing to be released, it will probably be more important to have higher quality axles

They should have quality axles capable of handling the power to begin with. For the 20K+that many of them cost, high strength axles should be standard equipment.

Unless you go to huge heavy mud tires, stock axle work fine. Sure this ATV looks neat but on a normal ATV trail it would be roughest and slowest in the group. Good for mud run events and that's it.
It would be to wide for the trail we have, stock width just quiz through sections.
