We talked about ARGO getting into the ATV segment last week. This week the first model of their new 8x8 Aurora slid off the assembly done:

The 2019 Aurora 800 SX Huntmaster (camo model) MSRP starts at $27,499 and goes up from there. And it only has a top speed of 17 MPH. No thank you. It would be boring to drive that slow the few places I could actually drive it. That's more than I paid for my truck that I can actually get some use from, and the Aurora line isn't even the expensive models. There are some that are just $1 shy of $45,000.

Some top NOHVCC brass decided when it was time to get out to enjoy the trails, SxSs were the only way to fly:

We can't call anything about this machine traditional but revolutionary, that is term already being thrown around it a lot:

I don't imagine it will be in the price range of the average (or even well to do) ATV rider.

Up to 500 lb-ft of torque from each wheel's 25 pound motor. So, 2,000 lb-ft of torque from 4 wheels. I believe the technical term for that is a butt-load of torque.

Every now and then we take a moment to think about the uniqueness of the 2-stroke ATV; something that will likely never happen again on an OEM level. And when that happens, we have to give credit to Yamaha for some impressive records:

Ordinarily, trailers to move our quads and SxSs come in a size you select and that's the end of the story. One company says that's due to change:

If you had the trailer extended to 14 feet and loaded 2 ATVs would it have more weight on the tongue than it should? Or would it be okay because the trailer has 2 axles? I never had a trailer with more than one axle and honestly don't know how that works.

A lot of the institutions we consider staples of the industry aren't as old as we my think. Take the minimal age for operating an ATV for example...
