Stolen ATV's & trailer
#1
Our 2 2002 Polaris Trail Bosses and Triton SL8 trailer were stolen from our driveway on Wendesday, 5-9-02. Keys were not in ATV's so the thief may be trying to obtain parts. Illinois trailer plates: 632 FB TA. Fulton coupler lock, Master lock to prevent inserting a trailer ball in coupler, heavy lock on safety chains (broken off), Fulton ATV locks holding the ATV's to the trailer. Cabela's cover on each ATV, blue tarp covering trailer.
It appears the theif simply drove off using only the safety chains after breaking the lock.
Any help or information is greatly appreciated.
If any dealer or other individual has any information, please contact the Collinsville Police Department at (618) 344-2131.
Thank you.

We are located in Collinsvile, Illinois, 15 minutes east of St. Louis. The only news are reports by someone on our street seeing a red full sized pick-up pulling our trailer around noon on Wednesday. Another person saw the trailer being pulled east on Lebanon road out of Collinsville about the same time. No one got a plate number. Police are investigating, we have had a rash of ATV thefts in this area. Thank god we have insurance on everything.
Have notified Polaris and they will tag the ATV's as stolen on their network. If anyone enters the VIN info., a message will indicate the ATV's are stolen. I plan on watching the classified ads, sale papers, etc., maybe they will show up there.
Thanks for the lock and chain suggestion, I plan on locking the next trailer to a concrete post I will set in next to the driveway.
Keeping our fingers crossed.

I imagine we will buy Trail Bosses again. Their performance, ease of maintenance and operation really impress us. Took them to Badlands in Indiana and they did everything we asked of them. Still hoping they are recovered rather than deal with the whole insurance mess, we will be out at least the deductibles on eveything.
